What Is The Ministry of foreign affairs in Denmark?

Known as the Udenrigsministerie the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in Denmark is in charge of Denmark’s foreign affairs along side the Danish embassies, diplomatic missions, consulates and trade offices. They make decisions on the development of the country, trade policy, the EU and other legal affairs in relation to the outside word.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs services three ministers – Namely the Minister For Nordic Cooperation, The Minister For Development Cooperation and The Foreign Minister. It is lead by four directors and a Head of Department.

The ministry of foreign affairs in Demark originates as far back as 1770 although has been called a number of different names. It was first named the Foreign Service Department although changed its name to 1848 to The Royal Danish Ministry Of Foreign Affairs.

Now a days the ministry is a massive organization that employs thousands of people both in Denmark and internationally.

The idea behind the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in Denmark is to protect and serve its citizens. It looks after the well-being of its residents ensuring that they have freedom and security abroad. They also aim to do everything that they can to help encourage peace and stability in the world.

They also help companies with their export markets. They are also a support network for any Danish citizens that find themselves in emergency situations whilst traveling aboard.

They have contacts with many representatives aboard which can help in these circumstances.

Unfortunately for the ministry there have been doubt and rumor’s surfacing over the fact that many large companies in Denmark have been bribing and working with various UN officials and Iraqi government representatives in connection with the UN Oil For Food Programme. This is being investigated and it is thought that around 22 Danish companies are involved. These companies have passed on the blame to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs insisting that this behavior was encouraged by the government.

However despite this dent in its reputation the Ministry of foreign affairs in Denmark has done a lot of good work for its citizens. It means that they are able to travel abroad and have a support network if something goes wrong. International trading is encouraged and supported and they offer ways for the country to progess with outside help from other countries.
