Denmark is located north of Germany, in Europe. It is truly a beautiful country with a unique variety of cultures and traditions. Denmark in its self boasts over nine hundred hotels, around two hundred of which are located in Copenhagen, the country’s capital. These range from the very best, five star hotels such as Hotel Skt. Petri to the lesser acknowledged hotels with little or no ratings like the Hotel Rye and the Hotel Copenhagen.
Hotel Skt. Petri, with around two hundred and seventy elegant rooms, twenty seven of which are breath-taking suits with magnificent views of the city making it every holiday-goer’s dream destination. It is close to some of the city’s most visited tourist attractions as well as shopping complexes, located with in walking distance of public transport and right in the heart of this capital city it truly is one of the places to be and be seen.
There is however the age old question of the price for such luxuries. In a situation like this one, if you have to ask, you almost certainly cannot afford it. The smallest single room available costs around one hundred and ninety euros per night.
So for those of us who have been hit by the recent recession, there is still hotel accommodation available, and the cheapest of which comes in the form of the Hotel Rye.
Lacking the elegance, class and possibly a few other luxuries of the Hotel Skt. Petri, the Hotel Rye is one of a few of the hotels in Copenhagen, Denmark without a star rating. This small establishment has less than twenty rooms, with the added inconvenience of the bathrooms being located outside of the rooms. Most of the services that they have to offer are some of the things that you would most certainly expect if you were in a classier hotel such as cable television in the rooms and coffee and tea available at any time. Even their website is lacking, containing little information and even one or two spelling errors. It just goes to show that you truly do get what you pay for as a night at this charming little hotel will cost you less than ninety euros a night for a single room.
So, a little advice to any one out there looking to travel and stay in a hotel in Copenhagen Denmark, be sure to research all of the hotels carefully. The hotels in this article are literally the best and the less than the best of Copenhagen, but there is over a hundred others in between these, and there is bound to be the perfect hotel accommodation available to you that will suit your pocket, no matter what your budget might be.
